Why two European oncologists participate in All Global Circle’s medical panels

Learn the benefits of participating in medical research, even as a busy oncologist in the EU.

When Dr. Panos, a London-based oncologist, learned about All Global Circle, he signed up immediately. As an avid market research participant, he’d experienced the benefits of medical research panels. “When you participate in market research, you’re often presented with hypothetical yet practical scenarios around new products,” he says. “It’s clear that what they’ve presented is very close to becoming a reality. While you’re participating in the survey, you can think about the data they’ve provided and easily guess what they are talking about. So, in a way, you’re getting advanced access to a new product or technology, which I find quite interesting and intriguing.”

Dr. Fabio Mazzucchelli, an oncologist in Italy, says he signed up in 2018 for similar reasons. He wanted to be in touch with other physicians and learn about the latest oncology news and treatments. He’s enjoyed participating in the process during the past four years. Along with receiving a sneak peek at future medical treatments or devices, both doctors also believe it’s important to aid scientific research and development.

“What makes All Global Circle different is that their surveys are similar to a brainstorm. They are very interested in collecting real-world data—it’s their primary focus,” Panos says. “I know that by contributing to real-world data collection, other physicians and I can make a difference in overall clinical management.”

The time commitment

Overall, Panos says the length of the surveys varies, but on average, he has spent between 20 and 40 minutes completing each one. Mazzucchelli says he typically spends 40 minutes or more.

Because Panos receives most of his surveys online, he can do them when it’s convenient for him. Plus, he can begin a survey when he has some time and return to it later if he gets interrupted. Occasionally, the survey may be closed if he completes it in segments, as they’ve received enough participants, but he says that’s very rare.

But how does he find the time?

“When I’m about to shut down for the night and go to bed or and I’m looking for something to do as I wind down, I’ll often spend some time watching TV,” he explains. “But when something’s not particularly interesting, or there’s background music playing, I get bored and decide that I might as well do something a bit more interesting and useful. So, I take a survey.”

On the other hand, Mazzucchelli says he prefers to take the surveys during his lunch breaks or immediately after work. For both, surveys arrive in their inbox once or twice a month—an amount they say is easily manageable. While there are often several surveys available every month, physicians are not required to complete a certain amount of surveys to maintain their status as a panelist. They can always choose to skip one or several surveys if they’re too busy, and re-engage when they have the time.

The benefits of partnering with All Global Circle

Knowing he’s contributed to science is one of the key benefits for Panos.

“At the end of my day, I’m doing something useful, even when I’m about to go to bed,” he says. “And, as I said, it’s great to learn about new products and preliminary trial results not publicly released and to foresee what’s going to happen in terms of new indications and new classes of drugs. Plus, the surveys are a good way to keep your brain stimulated while contributing to science.”

“And, to some extent, it’s an excellent way to pay for your groceries,” he added.

All Global Circle knows how busy oncologists can be, so they pay physicians for their time. The rate varies depending on the length of the survey and the company requesting the information.

Mazzucchelli says that he’s earned “about 3,000 euros” through his participation with All Global Circle in the past year.

“It’s really fun,” he says. “And it’s possible to earn good money while participating in research.”

All Global Circle also offers one of the industry’s most robust payout options. In addition to cash, you can also redeem honoraria for gift cards and other

Both physicians say they choose the cash option and put the money towards typical living expenses such as food or utility services.
